Cancellation & refund policy
This policy sets out the registration, cancellation and fee-refund procedures for the programs of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services at Majmaah University, so that procedures are clear and beneficiaries' rights are protected.
First: Registration and payment
Registration is confirmed once the admission requirements are met and payment is completed successfully. Instalments are available through Tamara only, under its terms and subject to its approval.
Second: Cancellation and refund of fees
The refund rate is calculated on the fees paid, according to the date the cancellation request is received through the platform:
| Refund rate | When the request is submitted |
|---|---|
| 100% | 15 days or more before the program starts |
| 50% | Less than 7 days before the program starts |
| No refund, subject to statutory rights and approved exceptional cases | From the first day of the program |
Periods are counted in calendar days. Not attending or stopping participation is not considered a cancellation request.
Third: Transfer and deferral
- A transfer to another program may be requested at least seven days before the program starts, subject to seat availability, the admission requirements and the program management's approval.
- A transfer fee of 10% of the fees paid applies, and any fee difference between the two programs is settled.
- A transfer after the program starts is subject to the program management's approval.
- Deferring registration is only possible where the program's published terms provide for it.
Fourth: Program cancellation or postponement by the centre
If the centre cancels or postpones a program, the beneficiary is notified and may choose to:
- Receive a full refund of the fees paid.
- Keep the registration for the new date.
- Transfer to an alternative program with no transfer fee, settling any fee difference.
Fifth: Submitting a request and processing the refund
Cancellation and refund requests are submitted only through the e-learning platform, with the required details and proof of payment. The request's status, outcome and expected refund time can be followed on the platform.
Refunds are processed through the platform and returned to the original payment method. Payments made through Tamara are processed under Tamara's procedures.
Sixth: General provisions
- Exceptional cases supported by documents are reviewed by the program management.
- Each program's own terms apply if published before registration, without conflicting with the beneficiary's statutory rights.
- This policy does not affect the rights established under the laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Updates to this policy apply to registrations made after they are published, without affecting earlier registrations.
